In the crisp mountain air of Salt Lake City, September 2021, two paths crossed and quickly became one. What started as a serendipitous meeting for a glass of whiskey blossomed into something extraordinary.

Michael, hailing from Boston, and Johanna, from San Antonio, Texas, they both had lived in many of the same places, but at different times in their lives. Despite these similar paths, it wasn’t until they both found themselves in Utah that fate worked its magic.

Brought together by a shared love of hiking mountains, engaging conversations about politics & life, and the simple joys of good food paired with a glass of whiskey, they discovered an effortless connection that felt like coming home. Laughter soon became the soundtrack of their journey, as their mutual sense of humor proved to be the perfect harmony. Especially once Toulouse (Jo’s longtime cat) accepted another male on the couch and vice versa!

It didn't take long for them to realize this was more than just a fleeting moment—it was the start of something truly special. From those early days to now, their story has been about adventure, love, and finding beauty in the little things - as well as teaching Michael how to cuddle Jo’s cat Toulouse on the couch!

As they look ahead to this next chapter, Michael and Johanna are excited to continue building a life full of shared dreams, unwavering laughter, and, of course, many more mountaintop vistas .
